Our Houston soil is made up primarily of clay. As that clay moves and settles over time, your home’s foundation begins to swell and create “Hairline” cracks in the foundation. A Pre Construction Framing Termite Treatment consists of treating the entire framed home. Essentially, removing your home from the Termite menu. Termites (Formosan, Subterranean, and Drywood) enjoy eating wood. Thus, if the wood is treated, the home remains unavailable for Termite consumption. That is to say, even though Termites can penetrate through the soil surface through hairline cracks in the foundation, once they pierce through the foundation and locate a food source, they will be unable to consume the wood as the wood is treated. From our first experience we’ve loved working with Chris. He’s professional, intelligent, friendly and very sharp. We called CPL for general pest extermination. After finding evidence of drywood termites in my house, the first pest control company I called immediately said "you need to tent your house", without asking any further questions. Looking around for a second opinion, I came across CPL, and couldn't be happier with the results. Chris set up an appointment for the next day, showed up on time, listened to all my concerns, and explained the range of treatment options to me. He is clearly very knowledgeable about drywood termites, and explained that while tenting your house is an option that is appropriate in some cases, many drywood termite colonies are quite small and can be dealt with with a localized treatment. He is so easy to deal with before, during, and after the treatment, answered my questions via phone quickly; I now know I don't need to look anywhere else for my pest control needs. We kept finding cockroaches in the house and when one showed up in my shoe when I was putting it on, I was at my wits end! They were able to schedule a time to come out and spray the next day. It ended up raining and we did the day after, but they were quick to respond and update me!
